Ten finalists are competing for a chance to win $5,000* of pet food for their rescue group.

Through the Doing More™ for Pets Rescue Story Contest, scores of contestants submitted their own rescue stories.

From a host of rescue story submissions, our contest judges chose 10 finalists.

The Grand Prize winner will receive $5,000 in Purina® Pro Plan® brand pet food coupons along with a 4-day, 3-night trip to Oaks, PA, to attend the 2009 Kennel Club of Philadelphia and National Dog Shows presented by Purina® on Saturday, November 14th and Sunday, November 15th, 2009, where the winner of the contest will be announced. Each of the 9 runners up will receive a 1-year supply of Purina® Pro Plan® brand Cat or Dog food coupons for one animal.

A popular vote here between July 15, 2009 and October 30, 2009 combined with a judge's score will determine the Grand Prize winner. The winner will be posted to this website on December 1, 2009.
